NO ES UN DIOS DE MUERTOS, SINO DE VIVIENTES.

Jesús dijo a los saduceos, que niegan la resurrección: "En este mundo los hombres y las mujeres se casan, pero los que son juzgados dignos de participar del mundo futuro y de la resurrección, no se casan. Ya no pueden morir, porque son semejantes a los ángeles y son hijos de Dios, al ser hijos de la resurrección. Que los muertos van a resucitar, Moisés lo ha dado a entender en el pasaje de la zarza, cuando llama al Señor ‘el Dios de Abraham, el Dios de Isaac y el Dios de Jacob’. Porque él no es un Dios de muertos, sino de vivientes; todos, en efecto, viven para él" .

Some Sadducees, those who deny that there is a resurrection,
came forward.
Jesus said to them,
"The children of this age marry and remarry;
but those who are deemed worthy to attain to the coming age
and to the resurrection of the dead
neither marry nor are given in marriage.
They can no longer die,
for they are like angels;
and they are the children of God
because they are the ones who will rise.
That the dead will rise
even Moses made known in the passage about the bush,
when he called out 'Lord, '
the God of Abraham, the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob;
and he is not God of the dead, but of the living,
for to him all are alive."

SI NO SON FIELES EN EL USO DEL DINERO INJUSTO. QUIEN LES CONFIARA EL VERDADERO BIEN?

Jesús decía a sus discípulos: "Gánense amigos con el dinero de la injusticia, para que el día en que éste les falte, ellos los reciban en las moradas eternas. El que es fiel en lo poco también es fiel en lo mucho, y el que es deshonesto en lo poco también es deshonesto en lo mucho. Si ustedes no son fieles en el uso del dinero injusto, quién les confiará el verdadero bien?. Y si no son fieles con lo ajeno, quién les confiará lo que les pertenece a ustedes? Ningún servidor puede servir a dos señores, porque aborrecerá a uno y amará al otro, o bien se interesará por el primero y menospreciará al segundo. No se puede servir a Dios y al dinero". Los fariseos, que eran amigos del dinero, escuchaban todo esto y se burlaban de Jesús. El les dijo: "Ustedes aparentan rectitud ante los hombres, pero Dios conoce sus corazones. Porque lo que es estimable a los ojos de los hombres resulta despreciable para Dios" .

Jesus said to his disciples:
“I tell you, make friends for yourselves with dishonest wealth,
so that when it fails, you will be welcomed into eternal dwellings.
The person who is trustworthy in very small matters
is also trustworthy in great ones;
and the person who is dishonest in very small matters
is also dishonest in great ones.
If, therefore, you are not trustworthy with dishonest wealth,
who will trust you with true wealth?
If you are not trustworthy with what belongs to another,
who will give you what is yours?
No servant can serve two masters.
He will either hate one and love the other,
or be devoted to one and despise the other.
You cannot serve God and mammon.”
The Pharisees, who loved money,
heard all these things and sneered at him.
And he said to them,
“You justify yourselves in the sight of others,
but God knows your hearts;
for what is of human esteem is an abomination in the sight of God.”

LOS HIJOS DE ESTE MUNDO SON MAS ASTUTOS QUE LOS HIJOS DE LA LUZ.

Jesús decía a sus discípulos: Había un hombre rico que tenía un administrador, al cual acusaron de malgastar sus bienes. Lo llamó y le dijo: "Qué es lo que me han contado de ti? Dame cuenta de tu administración, porque ya no ocuparás más ese puesto". El administrador pensó entonces: "Qué voy a hacer ahora que mi señor me quita el cargo? Cavar? No tengo fuerzas. Pedir limosna? Me da verguenza. !Ya sé lo que voy a hacer para que, al dejar el puesto, haya quienes me reciban en su casa"!" Llamó uno por uno a los deudores de su señor y preguntó al primero: "Cuánto debes a mi señor?" "Veinte barriles de aceite", le respondió. El administrador le dijo: "Toma tu recibo, siéntate en seguida, y anota diez". Después preguntó a otro: "Y tú, cuánto debes?". "Cuatrocientos quintales de trigo", le respondió. El administrador le dijo: "Toma tu recibo y anota trescientos". Y el señor alabo a este administrador deshonesto, por haber obrado tan hábilmente. Porque los hijos de este mundo son más astutos en su trato con los demás que los hijos de la luz.

Jesus said to his disciples, “A rich man had a steward
who was reported to him for squandering his property.
He summoned him and said,
‘What is this I hear about you?
Prepare a full account of your stewardship,
because you can no longer be my steward.’
The steward said to himself, ‘What shall I do,
now that my master is taking the position of steward away from me?
I am not strong enough to dig and I am ashamed to beg.
I know what I shall do so that,
when I am removed from the stewardship,
they may welcome me into their homes.’
He called in his master’s debtors one by one.
To the first he said, ‘How much do you owe my master?’
He replied, ‘One hundred measures of olive oil.’
He said to him, ‘Here is your promissory note.
Sit down and quickly write one for fifty.’
Then to another he said, ‘And you, how much do you owe?’
He replied, ‘One hundred measures of wheat.’
He said to him, ‘Here is your promissory note;
write one for eighty.’
And the master commended that dishonest steward for acting prudently.
For the children of this world
are more prudent in dealing with their own generation
than the children of light.”

HABRA GRAN ALEGRIA EN EL CIELO POR UN PECADOR QUE SE CONVIERTA.

Todos los publicanos y pecadores se acercaban a Jesús para escucharlo, pero los fariseos y los escribas murmuraban, diciendo: "Este hombre recibe a los pecadores y come con ellos". Jesús les dijo entonces esta parábola: "Si alguien tiene cien ovejas y pierde una, no deja acaso las noventa y nueve en el campo y va a buscar la que se había perdido, hasta encontrarla? Y cuando la encuentra, la carga sobre sus hombros, lleno de alegría, y al llegar a su casa llama a sus amigos y vecinos, y les dice: ‘Alégrense conmigo, porque encontré la oveja que se me había perdido’. Les aseguro que, de la misma manera, habrá más alegría en el cielo por un solo pecador que se convierta, que por noventa y nueve justos que no necesitan convertirse". Y les dijo también: "Si una mujer tiene diez dracmas y pierde una, no enciende acaso la lámpara, barre la casa y busca con cuidado hasta encontrarla?. Y cuando la encuentra, llama a sus amigas y vecinas, y les dice: ‘Alégrense conmigo, porque encontré la dracma que se me había perdido’. Les aseguro que, de la misma manera, se alegran los ángeles de Dios por un solo pecador que se convierte" .

The tax collectors and sinners were all drawing near to listen to Jesus,
but the Pharisees and scribes began to complain, saying,
“This man welcomes sinners and eats with them.”
So Jesus addressed this parable to them.
“What man among you having a hundred sheep and losing one of them
would not leave the ninety-nine in the desert
and go after the lost one until he finds it?
And when he does find it,
he sets it on his shoulders with great joy
and, upon his arrival home,
he calls together his friends and neighbors and says to them,
‘Rejoice with me because I have found my lost sheep.’
I tell you, in just the same way
there will be more joy in heaven over one sinner who repents
than over ninety-nine righteous people
who have no need of repentance.
“Or what woman having ten coins and losing one
would not light a lamp and sweep the house,
searching carefully until she finds it?
And when she does find it,
she calls together her friends and neighbors
and says to them,
‘Rejoice with me because I have found the coin that I lost.’
In just the same way, I tell you,
there will be rejoicing among the angels of God
over one sinner who repents.”

EL QUE NO RENUNCIA A TODO LO QUE POSEE NO PUEDE SER MI DISCIPULO.

Junto con Jesús iba un gran gentío, y él, dándose vuelta, les dijo: Cualquiera que venga a mí y no me ame más que a padre y a su madre, a su mujer y a sus hijos, a sus hermanos y hermanas, y hasta a su propia vida, no puede ser mi discípulo. El que no carga con su cruz y me sigue no puede ser mi discípulo. Quién de ustedes, si quiere edificar una torre, no se sienta primero a calcular los gastos, para ver si tiene con qué terminarla?. No sea que una vez puestos los cimientos, no pueda acabar y todos los que lo vean se rían de él, diciendo: "Este comenzó a edificar y no pudo terminar". Y qué Rey, cuando sale de campaña contra otro, no se sienta antes a considerar si con diez mil hombres puede enfrentar al que viene contra él con veinte mil? Por el contrario, mientras el otro rey está todavía lejos, envía una embajada para negociar la paz. De la misma manera, cualquiera de ustedes que no renuncie a todo lo que posee no puede ser mi discípulo.

Great crowds were traveling with Jesus,
and he turned and addressed them,
“If anyone comes to me without hating his father and mother,
wife and children, brothers and sisters,
and even his own life,
he cannot be my disciple.
Whoever does not carry his own cross and come after me
cannot be my disciple.
Which of you wishing to construct a tower
does not first sit down and calculate the cost
to see if there is enough for its completion?
Otherwise, after laying the foundation
and finding himself unable to finish the work
the onlookers should laugh at him and say,
‘This one began to build but did not have the resources to finish.’
Or what king marching into battle would not first sit down
and decide whether with ten thousand troops
he can successfully oppose another king
advancing upon him with twenty thousand troops?
But if not, while he is still far away,
he will send a delegation to ask for peace terms.
In the same way,
everyone of you who does not renounce all his possessions
cannot be my disciple.”

YO SOY LA RESURRECCION Y LA VIDA.

Al llegar a Betania, Jesús se encontró con que Lázaro estaba sepultado desde hacía cuatro días. Betania distaba de Jerusalén sólo unos tres kilómetros. Muchos judios habían ido a consolar a Marta y a María, por la muerte de su hermano. Al enterarse de que Jesús llegaba, Marta salió a su encuentro, mientras María permanecía en la casa. Marta dijo a Jesús: "Señor, si hubieras estado aquí, mi hermano no habría muerto. Pero yo sé que aun ahora, Dios te concederá todo lo que le pidas". Jesús le dijo: "Tu hermano resucitará". Marta le respondió: "Sé que resucitará en la resurrección del último día". Jesús le dijo: "Yo soy la Resurrección y la Vida. El que cree en mí, aunque muera, vivirá; y todo el que vive y cree en mí no morirá jamás. Crees esto?". Ella le respondió: Si, Señor, creo que tú eres el Mesías, el Hijo de Dios, el que debía venir al mundo".

Jesus said to the crowds:
“Everything that the Father gives me will come to me,
and I will not reject anyone who comes to me,
because I came down from heaven not to do my own will
but the will of the one who sent me.
And this is the will of the one who sent me,
that I should not lose anything of what he gave me,
but that I should raise it on the last day.
For this is the will of my Father,
that everyone who sees the Son and believes in him
may have eternal life,
and I shall raise him on the last day.”

Lucas 10, 13-16 Luke 10: 13-16

"¡Ay de ti Corazín! ¡Ay de ti Betsaida! Porque si los milagros que se hicieron entre ustedes hubieran sido hechos en Tiro y Sidón, hace tiempo que se hubieran arrepentido sentados en cilicio y ceniza. "Por eso, en el juicio será más tolerable el castigo para Tiro y Sidón que para ustedes. "Y tú, Capernaúm, ¿acaso serás elevada hasta los cielos? ¡Hasta el Hades (la región de los muertos) serás hundida!
"El que a ustedes escucha, Me escucha a Mí, y el que a ustedes rechaza, Me rechaza a Mí; y el que Me rechaza a Mí, rechaza al que Me envió."

Jesus said to them,
“Woe to you, Chorazin! Woe to you, Bethsaida!
For if the mighty deeds done in your midst
had been done in Tyre and Sidon,
they would long ago have repented,
sitting in sackcloth and ashes.
But it will be more tolerable for Tyre and Sidon
at the judgment than for you.
And as for you, Capernaum, ‘Will you be exalted to heaven?
You will go down to the netherworld.’
Whoever listens to you listens to me.
Whoever rejects you rejects me.
And whoever rejects me rejects the one who sent me.”
